Welcome to Dopagotchi. We’re happy to see you here! This app was developed by Cindy Cui and Alison Co during nwHacks 2024. We hope this app encourages you to do what fulfills you and brings you joy.

Inspiration

This app is inspired by both Dopamenus and Tamagotchi. We claim no ownership of either of these products/ideas.

The dopamenu (dopamine menu), created by Eric Tivers, is a list of activities that bring you joy and make you feel good. When you need a break, or feel the familiar need to scroll mindlessly on your phone, you can instead look at your personalized dopamine menu and choose something to do from your items.

A Tamagotchi is a virtual pet simulation toy. It originated in Japan in the 1990s by Bandai. The device is a small, egg-shaped electronic gadget with a digital screen. Users are responsible for caring for a virtual creature, which starts as an egg and eventually grows into various forms depending on how well it is nurtured. Users must feed, play with, and attend to the needs of their Tamagotchi to ensure its well-being.

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Dopagotchi app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Cindy Cui (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
• The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
• The time spent on the Application
• The operating system you use on your mobile device

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.
